About Us

Independent Crypto Reviews Without the Hype

CryptoGuardian exists to help you choose wallets, exchanges, and hardware with the same calm rigor you'd expect from a security audit, not a marketing page.

We test products the way real people use them — setting them up, moving funds, restoring access, and checking the safety-critical details that decide whether convenient becomes costly.

Every wallet stress-tested before you read. Clear findings, consistent ratings, and plain-English explanations for readers who want depth without theatrics.

As of July 2026, CryptoGuardian is built for security-minded builders, analysts, and operators who value privacy, transparency, and decisive guidance.

How We Test Every Product

Our methodology is designed to be repeatable. Each review follows a 12-point checklist that covers setup integrity, recovery paths, account protections, and common failure modes. We publish a 4-category scorecard — Security, Privacy, Usability, and Support — then translate the results into a single 0–100 rating.

From Bench to Publication

  1. Day 1

    Intake and Threat Modeling

We assess the product category, identify common attack vectors, and define the testing environment to simulate real-world security scenarios users will face.

  2. Day 2

    Setup and Environment Hardening

Hands-on setup begins. We follow the manufacturer's process, document friction points, and test the product in a hardened security environment to establish baseline behavior.

  3. Day 3

    Recovery and Misuse Testing

We simulate failure modes — lost passwords, corrupted files, account lockouts — and test recovery paths. Misuse scenarios reveal how the product handles edge cases and user errors.

  4. Day 4

    Scoring and Editorial Verification

We apply our 4-category scorecard, calculate the 0–100 rating, write the review, and run editorial checks to ensure accuracy and consistency before publication.

Our Strengths and Trade-Offs

Strengths

  • Hands-on testing with repeatable 12-point checklist for consistent scoring
  • Independent verdicts — no vendor approval or commission-driven ratings
  • Clear 4-category scorecard translates into actionable 0–100 rating
  • Structured 4-day review process ensures depth and editorial verification

Trade-Offs

  • Won't cover every niche product immediately due to thorough testing protocol
  • Some vendor claims left unendorsed when we can't reproduce them in testing
  • Focus on security-first audience may not suit casual convenience-first users
